Biography
Dr. Vinich Promarak obtained his D.Phil. degree in 2002 from School of Chemistry, University of Oxford, under a supervision of Prof. Paul Burn. He is currently a full professor in Chemistry at School of Molecular Science and Engineering, Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC), Thailand. He was presented many awards including Thailand’s Young Scientist Awards in 2007, the Thailand Research Fund (TRF) Outstanding Research Award in 2015 and 2014, the National Research Council of Thailand Outstanding Research Award in 2013, Asian Core Program Lectureship Award in 2009 and 2012, TRF-CHE-Scopus Research Awards in 2013, and Wiley–Chemical Society of Thailand Outstanding Publication Award in 2011. Recently, he was awarded as the 2016 Outstanding National Researcher by the National Research Council of Thailand and the TRF Senior Research Scholar in 2017 from the TRF. His current research interests involve “High-Tech†organic materials that can be used in optoelectronic devices i.e. organic light-emitting diode, perovskite/dye-sensitized solar cell, bulk heterojunction solar cell, sensor, optical switch, organic field-effect transistor. To date, he has co-authored more than 115 peer-reviewed papers, and his publications have been cited over 2700 times with current H-index of 30.
