Biography
Professor Jeffrey David Winkleris a Merriam Professor of Chemistry at University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Founding Member of Center for Cancer Pharmacology at University of Pennsylvania.From July 1990-June 1996, he was Associate Professor at University of Pennsylvania.He has received Philadelphia Organic Chemists’ Club Award in 2006 and American Chemical Society Cope Scholar Award in 2000.
Research Area
Research interest includes design and synthesis of both natural products and molecules of design (unnatural products) with important structural and/or biological properties, development of new methodology in organic synthesis and the application of this methodology to the synthesis of naturally occurring compounds with important biological activity.
