Professor Jeffrey David Winkleris a Merriam Professor of Chemistry at University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Founding Member of Center for Cancer Pharmacology at University of Pennsylvania.From July 1990-June 1996, he was Associate Professor at University of Pennsylvania.He has received Philadelphia Organic Chemists’ Club Award in 2006 and American Chemical Society Cope Scholar Award in 2000.

Igor F Perepichka(Biography)
Igor Perepichka is a Professor of Chemistry at Bangor University, UK. He obtained his Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Donetsk Polytechnic Institute (1981) and his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Institute of Physical Organic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, IPOCC NASU (1987). He started his career at IPOCC NASU in Ukraine as an engineer in 1981 and was promoted to Senior Research Scientist in 1989. He has held several visiting positions, including Alexander von Humboldt Fellow (Würzburg University, Germany, 1995–1997), Visiting Scientist (CEA Saclay, France, 1999 and CNRS, Angers, 2000–2001), Invited Professor (Angers University, 2001–2002), Senior Research Associate (Durham University, 2003–2007). In 2007 he moved to the University of Central Lancashire (Preston, UK) as Reader in Chemistry. In 2010 he was appointed as Professor of Chemistry at Bangor University, UK. His work is documented in over 100 papers in refereed journals, over 20 patents and several books and book chapters, including “Handbook of Thiophene-Based Materials: Applications in Organic Electronics and Photonics†(I. F. Perepichka, D. F. Perepichka, Two-Volumes Set, Wiley, 2009).

Prof Perepichka’s field of research is organic materials chemistry. The main research activity is focused on design, synthesis and studies of novel organic pi-functional systems, from small molecules to conjugated polymeric materials, toward their applications in organic electronics, optoelectronics and photonics. Current research interests encompass the development of functional pi-conjugated systems with tailored electronic properties in view of applications in solar energy conversion, electronic and photonic devices, and nanoscience: novel conjugated pi-functional systems, reactions and methods of synthesis; conjugated polymers with tailored properties and functions; conductive, semiconductive and photoconductive pi-conjugated materials (from small molecules to oligomers and polymers); charge, electron and energy transfer processes in pi-systems; intermolecular and intramolecular charge transfer processes in pi-conjugated systems; electroactive and photoactive pi-functional systems; organic nanomaterials, supramolecular architectures and self-organized systems; organic molecular and polymeric materials for light-emitting devices, organic photovoltaics, field-effect transistors, electrochromic devices, non-linear optics, nanotechnologies, sensors/biosensors etc.

Uli Kazmaier(Biography)
Uli Kazmaier studied chemistry at the University of Stuttgart where he obtained his PhD working with U. Schmidt. Afterwards he joined the research groups of M. T. Reetz (Marburg) and B. M. Trost (Stanford) as a postdoc. In 1992, he moved to Heidelberg starting his own scientific work at the Institute of Organic Chemistry. In 2000 he received a Novartis Chemistry Lectureship and in 2001 an offer of a full professorship at Saarland University, where he is since that time. His current research interest is focused on new organometallic reagents and reactions especially for amino acid and peptide synthesis, and their application to natural product synthesis. Late state modification of peptides allows medicinal chemistry with natural products.

Dr. Mirosław Kwiatkowski in 2004 obtained Ph.D. degree at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, and in 2018 D.Sc. degree at Wrocław University of Technology. Currently he is working as an assistant professor at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. His published work includes more than 45 papers in reputable international journals and 75 conference proceedings. He is the editor-in-chief International Journal of System Modeling and Simulation (UAE), a member of the twelve editorial board of internationals journals and a regular reviewer in a reputable scientific journals as well as a member of the organizing committees international conferences in Europe, Asia and United States of America.

His current interest is deeply devoted to understand the morpho-chemical-structural evolution of synthetic hybrid-materials and/or natural biological systems using electron microscopic and X-ray diffraction techniques. Recently, his scientific research activity is also focusing on the observation of the microscopic and chemical species evolution of biomedical systems in native state through environmental microscopy techniques enhancing the gathered experimental results by theoretical methods of quantitative imaging analyses (QIA). These findings are focusing for further understanding their self-assembling mechanisms of the biohybrid systems useful for learning the principles that govern the dynamic changes in the adaptive living systems.

Dr. Vinich Promarak obtained his D.Phil. degree in 2002 from School of Chemistry, University of Oxford, under a supervision of Prof. Paul Burn. He is currently a full professor in Chemistry at School of Molecular Science and Engineering, Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC), Thailand. He was presented many awards including Thailand’s Young Scientist Awards in 2007, the Thailand Research Fund (TRF) Outstanding Research Award in 2015 and 2014, the National Research Council of Thailand Outstanding Research Award in 2013, Asian Core Program Lectureship Award in 2009 and 2012, TRF-CHE-Scopus Research Awards in 2013, and Wiley–Chemical Society of Thailand Outstanding Publication Award in 2011. Recently, he was awarded as the 2016 Outstanding National Researcher by the National Research Council of Thailand and the TRF Senior Research Scholar in 2017 from the TRF. His current research interests involve “High-Tech†organic materials that can be used in optoelectronic devices i.e. organic light-emitting diode, perovskite/dye-sensitized solar cell, bulk heterojunction solar cell, sensor, optical switch, organic field-effect transistor. To date, he has co-authored more than 115 peer-reviewed papers, and his publications have been cited over 2700 times with current H-index of 30.

Professor Shen-Ming Chen received his PhD degrees in chemistry from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. He was a visiting postdoctoral fellow with the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany in 1997. He had been an associate professor of Department of Chemical Engineering, National Taipei Institute of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan from 1991 to 1997. Since August 1997, he has been a professor of Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. From 2010, he has been a Distinguished professor of Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. He has been the Dean(Curator) of library, National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan from 2000 to 2006 and the Director of Extracurricular Activity, office of student affairs, National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan from 1995 to 2000.
