The City
Ireland is an island in the North Atlantic. It is the third-largest island in Europe, and the twentieth-largest on Earth. The current population of Ireland is 4.773 million. Dublin is the capital and largest city of Ireland.
Dublin experiences a maritime climate with cool summers, mild winters, and a lack of temperature extremes. The average maximum January temperature is 8.8 °C (48 °F), while the average maximum July temperature is 20.2 °C (68 °F). July and August are the warmest months of the year in Ireland.
Places to visit in Ireland:
1. Dublin Castle: The Castle is in the heart of the city and the heart of Irish history. The Castle stands on the ridge on a strategic site at the junction of the River Liffey.
2. Carrick-on-Shannon: located in County Leitrim few hours from Dublin is the popular destination for its beautiful rivers and waterways. It is the most progressive commercial centers with a number of major corporations and businesses.
3. The Cliffs of Moher: which is a round stone tower near the midpoint of the cliffs that was built in 1835 by Sir Cornelius O'Brien. From the cliffs, and from atop the tower, visitors can see the Aran Islands in Galway Bay, the Maumturks and Twelve Pins mountain ranges to the north in County Galway, and Loop Head to the south
4. Blarney Castle: At the top of the castle lies the Stone of Eloquence, better known as the Blarney Stone. Tourists visiting Blarney Castle may hang upside-down over a sheer drop to kiss the stone, which is said to give the gift of eloquence.
5. Kilkenny City : is a tourist destination, and the town and environs include historic buildings such as Kilkenny Castle, St. Canice's Cathedra land round tower, Rothe House, Shee Alms House, Black Abbey, St. Mary's Cathedral, Kilkenny Town Hall, St. Francis Abbey, Grace's Castle, and St. John's Priory. Kilkenny is also known for its craft and design workshops, the Watergate Theatre, public gardens and museums.
6. Loch Ness: Loch Ness is best known for alleged sightings of the cryptozoological Loch Ness Monster, also known affectionately as "Nessie". It is connected at the southern end by the River Oich and a section of the Caledonian Canal to Loch Oich.
7. Giant's Causeway: the result of an ancient volcanic eruption, the Giant's Causeway was named as the fourth greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom.
